Refund Policy

GENERAL BILLING AND REFUND POLICY

When you submit credit card information, you give GovAssist Legal express permission to charge all user fees, subscription charges, and any other charges and fees incurred for using the services to the designated credit card. GovAssist Legal reserves the right to terminate these terms and your access to any service or representation if you do not provide a valid credit card for payment, or if any services are not timely paid. One of the benefits of GovAssist Legal is that we are a law firm and have in-house attorneys that may review your case. If our legal team determines that you are not eligible for your purchased product you may be provided with a refund at our sole discretion. GovAssist Legal may also decide that based on the complexity of your case, additional fees may be charged, but this will always be presented to you before beginning services through a client engagement letter that will require your review and consent before representation begins. You understand that any fee payments made may be initially deposited into the GovAssist Legal client trust account, and once earned, you authorize the transfer of fees by GovAssist Legal from the client trust account into the operating account. You also understand that it is highly unlikely that any portion of the flat fee will be refunded once work is begun and the fee is fully earned. “Work” usually begins once we agree to take your case and fees are “earned” as time and efforts are put into your case.

ATTORNEY CONSULTATION POLICY

The consultation is a one-time commitment for a flat fee, for up to 30 minutes of time with a lawyer. The reason we charge fees for consultations is because it takes a considerable amount of time to get all the important information that we need to properly evaluate your case. During the consultation, an experienced lawyer will discuss all aspects of your case, identify the best strategies for achieving your goals, estimate the chances of success, and explain the relevant timeline, fees, and process that apply to your kind of case. Everyone’s story is unique, and there is no such thing as a simple immigration case. Please understand that by scheduling a consultation, there is no guarantee that GovAssist Legal will accept your case. The consultation fee is not refundable if we do not take your case because there are many cases that we simply cannot accept for ethical or other reasons. GovAssist Legal understands that situations arise in which you must cancel your appointment. We therefore kindly request that if you do cancel your consultation appointment, you do so as soon as practical, and at the least, with a twenty-four-hour notice. This will also enable for another person who is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled in that appointment slot.

ATTORNEY CONSULTATION CANCELLATION FEES AND REFUNDS

The consultation fee is 100% refundable if you cancel your appointment either by calling 844-588-0411 or emailing GovAssist Legal at [email protected] more than twenty-four hours prior to your appointment time. You may cancel for any reason. Upon request, your credit card will be credited the amount of the consultation fee that you paid to schedule the consultation. If you choose to cancel your appointment less than twenty-four hours of your appointment time, you will be assessed a cancellation fee equal to 50% of your consultation fee.
